About the studio
Six people, one farm, and a queue that starts early.
Cast & Render is an object studio. We build the thing, we prove it with light, and we hand over files someone else can still open in two years. That is the whole pitch.
01 / The room
A bakery schedule, applied to rendering.
The studio opens at four. Not for the romance of it — the farm is quiet, the licences are free, and a frame that fails at 4am can be fixed twice before a client is awake. By seven the overnight queue is on a drive and the room smells like coffee instead of panic.
We took the rest of the metaphor seriously too. Small batches. Nothing is baked before it is ordered, nothing is kept warm under a lamp, and the shelf is empty at the end of the day.
02 / What we make
Objects, surfaces, and the pipeline under them.
- Product CGI
- Hero stills, turntables, configurator-ready variant sets.
- Look development
- Shader libraries, HDRI rebuilds, device-accurate colour checks.
- Motion
- Scroll-grade all-intra masters, loops, and the fallbacks behind them.
- Environments
- Photogrammetry, retopology and walkable sets from real rooms.
- Pipeline
- Naming conventions, handover kits and the boring files that save a relaunch.
03 / How it runs
Four steps, in the same order, every time.
- 01
Brief, then blockout
You send references and a deadline. We send back a grey blockout within two days — silhouette and scale only, so nothing expensive gets built on a wrong assumption.
- 02
Topology before beauty
Meshes are built to a naming convention and a quad budget. Flat, never bent: the mesh should still be clean when it reaches the viewport, three agencies later.
- 03
Look dev in daylight
Every surface is checked on a phone at noon before it is signed off in a dark room. Matte has to read as matte where the customer actually stands.
- 04
Export to order
The farm queues at four, the files land by seven. Nothing renders before the brief is signed, and nothing sits on a drive waiting to go stale.
